USING THREAD LOCKER (LOCTITE) ON YOUR BOLTS.

Can you use thread locker on your bolts?

The short answer is YES however there is a big BUT.

All bolts which come on our bindings already come with Loctite from the factory. You can therefore apply and reapply Loctite as you use your bindings and boots.

Which thread locker should I use? And how much?
The most common thread locker people will find is a product called Loctite. It’s become so common that the brand name, Loctite, has also become the generic name for thread locker.

In the Loctite range there are two types.
1. Loctite 242 a.k.a Loctite Blue
2. Loctite 271 a.k.a Loctite Red
For almost all situations Loctite Blue will do the job. However in some countries where there is extreme cold e.g. Norway, Sweden and Finland Loctite Red can be used.

Regarding the quantity, you want to apply 1 drop maximum of Loctite Blue. If you really must you Loctite Red, 1 drop maximum will do. No more then that, otherwise you will not be able to loosen the bolts. .
