If you enjoy cruising, jibbing, and carving up the whole mountain at a fun freestyle pace, then the Basher is for you. Based on the Optisym's asymmetric "Friendly Freestyle" ride and upgraded 3D Twin Tech features, it allows for deep carves on groomers, but has the perfect playful park flex and enough float to maximize those precious powder days.

What makes an asymmetrical snowboard easier to turn?An asymmetrical snowboard uses different toe- and heelside sidecuts to account for the way the human body turns. The Basher’s deeper heelside sidecut makes heelside turns easier to initiate and creates a more balanced feeling between both edges.

The Basher is one of the most fun boards I have ever ridden and my favorite friendly freestyle all-mountain board because it offers a universally fun flex and float if you like carving at slower speeds, buttering the rollers, and just mellow freestyle riding in and out of the park!

Asym Twin

One of many Nitro inventions: A deeper heel sidecut radius compensates for the natural limitation of your knees not bending both ways, providing an even turning feel and more control when setting up for those relevant knuckle tricks.

Flat-Out Rocker

Nitro’s Flat-Out Rocker is a flat profile where the nose and tail lift off before the traditional contact points, providing effortless turns, and catch-free maneuvers.

Reflex Core Profile

A thinner core between your feet on Nitro’s Reflex Core Profile improves handling and increases torsional flex, allowing you to steer your board through a turn with ease.

Mid-Wide

Mid-Wide boards provide that little extra in width for less toe and heel drag, additional flotation and that extra bit of confidence when leaning into these power carves on icy slopes.

Dual Degressive Sidecut

Nitro’s Dual Degressive Sidecut blends a smaller radius in the center with two larger ones in the tip and tail, making it loose and playful. Nitro´s most forgiving sidecut.

3D Twin Tech

Nitro’s 3D Twin Tech blends a convex nose and tail with a concave center section. This provides a loose and surfy feel going forward or switch, and a controllable mid-section for the ultimate all-terrain freestyle experience.

Sintered EcoSpeed HD Base

Utilizing a recycled material compound, we have been able to achieve the same abrasion resistance, increased wax absorption and on-snow speeds with Nitro’ Sintered EcoSpeed HD base as on other comparable sintered bases.

Recycled Steel Edge

Nitro’s Recycled Steel Edge is made of 5% recycled steel, strong, durable and designed with enough meat to give your board a tune-up season after season.

Bi-Lite Laminates

Nitro’s rider-trusted Bi-Lite Laminates are engineered for dependable strength and refined board feel. The bi-directional fiberglass layup delivers balanced response, consistent flex, and versatile performance across a wide range of riding styles.

Powercore II

Nitro’s Powercore II is a tip-to-tail poplar wood core with additional beech wood stringers for unrivalled strength, smooth response, and insane pop.
