TLS+ Lacing

Nitro’s TLS+ is an advanced dual-zone speed-lacing system featuring a lightweight locking cleat with no moving parts. High-strength Dyneema® laces and optimized lace loops deliver precise, pro-level fit, lockdown, and foothold. Simply pull the two handles to independently adjust the upper and lower zones for fast, customized support.

Molded TLS Lace Gliders

Strategically placed molded Lace Gliders on the boots lacing eyelets reduce friction to a minimum for more defined and powerful lacing.

Vibram® Outsole with Litebase Technology

Vibram® Litebase drastically reduces the weight of a rubber sole while maintaining performance. The thickness of the rubber base is reduced to 5%, the weight of the tread is reduced by up to 3%, with traction patterns identical to those of a traditional Vibram sole.

Vibram® XS Trek Evo Compound

Vibram® XS Trek Evo is the latest evolution of Vibram XS Trek in terms of balancing multi-surface grip and durability, featuring also non-marking properties and excellent adaptability to a wide range of terrains.

Vibram® Arctic Grip All Terrain Technology

Vibram® Arctic Grip All Terrain uses a unique polymer blend and advanced filler system that revolutionizes grip on wet ice surfaces. This evolution of Arctic Grip matches with Vibram XS Trek Evo compound, providing added durability and improved grip on wet and dry surfaces.

EVA Midsole

A molded EVA midsole reduces the overall weight and provides dampening, comfort, and thermal insulation.

Therminator Shield

This reflective thermal layer between sole and liner will reflect your body heat and keep your feet warm all day.

Armored Spine

We are using an anatomically shaped and 3D molded heel reinforcement to provide even boot flex and long-lasting heel fit.

Molded Crampon Heel Cup

Nitro’s Molded Crampon Heel Cup reinforces the heel area with a precisely shaped structure designed for a secure, stable fit with semi-rigid crampons.

Internal Power Strap

Crank down the top of your liner with the easy-to-use Power Strap for more response from the top down.

Endure® Gravity Foam Toe

The toe is protected by Endure® Gravity Foam to withstand the toughest and most demanding outdoor conditions. Highly durable and up to 5% lighter than rubber, Endure® is derived from recycled pre-consumer sources and is 1% recyclable at the end of life.

Hike `N` Ride Construction

Nitro’s Hike 'N' Ride Construction is specifically designed for easy switching between the softer hike and stiffer ride modes. Combined with an Automatic Power Strap and integrated forward lean adjustment, the upper boot cuff can be easily fine-tuned to your liking.

Dual Density Power Tongue Stiffener

Nitro’s easily interchangeable Dual Density Power Tongue Stiffener slides into the boot’s shell tongue to customize flex and support. Available in two stiffness levels, it allows riders to choose between maximum precision and response or a softer, more relaxed ride feel.

Speed Gaiter

Nitro’s Speed Gaiter enhances protection from the elements to keep you dry and warm. The ergonomic diagonal zipper over the laces allows for one-handed operation while also adding to the durability of the boot.

ILS (Internal Lacing System)

Our ILS system features a lacing harness firmly connected to the boot shell. This harness snugly wraps around the liner, securing it in the shell and providing precise lacing and fit. Our engineered ILS laces provide less friction and a Dyneema® core for added strength.

Internal Ankle Support

Nitro’s Internal Ankle Support is an anatomically shaped and pliable support piece distributes lace pressure over the instep area and provides extra support against toeside turn impact. The result is more comfort and a better, more precise fit.

Micro Adjustable Heel Lock

Nitro’s Micro Adjustable Heel Lock uses an integrated liner harness to secure the ankle and improve heel hold. Controlled externally by a BOA® dial, it allows riders to tighten or open quickly and precisely while wearing the boot.

Liner Tech

Pre-Molded Thermacell

All Nitro Liners are constructed from Thermacell material, using Nitro specific lasts designed with decades of experience in snowboard boot design. This ensures long lasting fit and comfort without fatigue and boot pack-out.

Heat Moldable

Nitro’s Thermacell material will adapt to your foot’s shape over time, simply by wearing your boots out riding. But they can easily be custom fitted by heat molding your liners either in shop, using a specific heating system and tools, or even at home.

Patented Re/Lace Liner Locker

Nitro’s patented Re/Lace Liner Locker provides a secure closure, allowing for easy tightening of your liner by simply pulling up on the lace handle – even when your boot shell is already tied. This allows you to (re)tighten your liner and foothold throughout the day (wherever you may find yourself on the mountain) without having to untie your boots shell lacing system.

3D Shaped Tongue

The liner tongue is in direct contact with the foot’s most sensible are – the instep. We carefully construct this part of the liner, using multiple pieces and materials, to achieve the best possible combination of comfort and foot enclosure.

3D Heel Construction

Let’s face it: heel lift sucks. This is why we are going through the effort of custom-building a 3D shaped heel pocked into our liners. The result is a positive heel lockdown, but with comfort and ergonomic feel.

Response ExoFrame

An external frame, made of pliable yet supportive material increases precision in distinctive areas and relieve pressure in others, always leaving enough room to move. Boot engineering working for you.

Tongue Velcro Closure

An integrated Velcro closure closing the top of the liner, for better boot laceability and a snug fit.

Latex Memory Pads

We spend a lot of time on the material composition, design, and positioning of Nitro’s signature Latex Memory Pads. They are one of our key liner features and will keep your ankle area comfortable and supported all day long.

Flex Toe

Nitro introduced flexible liner toe-box construction more than two decades ago. The refined Flex Toe uses adaptable material to accommodate size variations and create a consistent left-to-right fit. By allowing the toes to move naturally instead of being compressed inside a rigid toe box, it improves comfort and helps feet stay warmer throughout the day.
