TLS+ Lacing

Nitro’s latest zonal speed lacing system features a redesigned locking cleat without moving parts. Combined with a specifically developed high-tech Dyneema® lace and new lace loops, it offers the ultimate pro-level fit, lockdown, and foothold. The simplistic power of just pulling up two handles control the top and bottom section of the boot for custom and zonal adjustment.

Molded TLS Lace Gliders

Strategically placed molded Lace Gliders on the boots lacing eyelets reduce friction to a minimum for more defined and powerful lacing.

Vibram® Outsole with Litebase Technology

Vibram Litebase drastically reduces the weight of a rubber sole while maintaining performance. The thickness of the rubber base is reduced to 50% from regular outdoor performance outsoles. Consequently, the weight of the tread is reduced by up to 30%. The result is a professional grade lightweight Vibram sole, with patterns identical to those of a traditional Vibram sole and it has the features of traction and durability.

Vibram® XS Trek Evo Compound

Vibram XS Trek Evo is the latest evolution of Vibram XS Trek in terms of balancing multi-surface grip and durability, featuring also non-marking properties and excellent adaptability to a wide range of terrains.

Vibram® Arctic Grip All Terrain Technology

Vibram Arctic Grip All Terrain is an all-new technology that improves grip and traction on varied surfaces, while increasing durability. It uses a unique polymer blend and advanced filler system that revolutionizes grip on wet ice surfaces. This evolution of Arctic Grip matches with Vibram XS Trek Evo compound, providing added durability and improved grip on wet and dry surfaces.

Vibram® Traction Lug Technology

Vibram Traction Lug is an innovative design concept that focuses on the key element in traction – the shape of the lug. Thanks to athletes’ know-how and the constant drive by Vibram to enhance grip and traction, Traction Lug revolutionizes your activity outside, increasing traction, adding stability and improving surface area: this means propulsion and braking power without comparison.

EVA Midsole

Used on all boots with rubber outsoles, the EVA midsole reduces the overall weight and provides cushioning and thermal insulation.

Therminator Shield

This reflective thermal layer between sole and liner will reflect your body heat and keep your feet warm all day.

Armored Spine

We are using an anatomically shaped and 3D molded heel reinforcement to provide even boot flex and long-lasting heel fit.

Molded Crampon Heel Cup

Perfectly shaped for a secure fit of semi-rigid crampons.

Endure® Gravity Foam Toe

This product is made with Endure®, a material developed and distributed by Gravity Group Srl. Endure® can withstand the most challenging and demanding outdoor conditions. It is long-lasting, even in wet and cold environments preserving its flexible behavior at very low temperatures without cracks. In addition, endure® has a high-tech closed-cell microstructure that allows achieving the highest toughness while keeping the lowest weight. At equal thickness, it is up to 50% lighter than rubber. Conceived as a higher-end replacement for rubber, Endure® prevents all the drawbacks in the use of rubber related to environmental impact. It is entirely made in TPU, which makes it 100% recyclable.

Hike `N` Ride Construction

A construction specifically made for making the transition and performance between hike and ride mode easier and more beneficial for the rider (together with the forward lean adjustment and auto power strap). Hike mode offers a softer flex and ride mode is more responsive and rigid flex.

Dual Density Power Tongue Stiffener

If you are looking for maximum adjustability throughout the day or season, you can use our removable tongue stiffener to change from premium precision to more of a relaxed feel. It comes in two different densities, allowing three response settings. From the steep and deep to the groomers, you can customize your boot feel perfect for your style.

Speed Gaiter

Nitro´s new gusset construction enhances protection from the elements on top of the foot to keep you dry and warm. The ergonomic diagonal zipper design allows for one-handed operation while also adding to the durability of the boot and its lacing system.

ILS (Internal Lacing System)

Our ILS system features a lacing harness firmly connected to the boot shell. This harness snugly wraps around the liner, securing it in the shell and providing precise lacing and fit. Our engineered ILS laces provide less friction and a Dyneema® core for added strength.

Internal Ankle Support

An anatomically shaped molded plate distributes lace pressure over the instep and top ankle area. Resulting in more comfort and a better, more precise fit.

Micro Adjustable Heel Lock

This integrated locking harness secures the ankle area of the liner and provides superior fit. Operated from the outside by a BOA® dial, the system can be tightened and opened loosened on the fly. On our vertical boot, the Heel Lock allows you to fine tune hiking/riding modes to your liking.

Liner Tech

Pre-Molded Thermacell

All Nitro Liners are constructed from Thermacell material, using Nitro specific lasts designed with decades of experience in snowboard boot design. This ensures long lasting fit and comfort without fatigue and boot pack-out.

Heat Moldable

Our Thermacell material will adapt to your foot’s shape over time, simply by wearing your boots out riding. If you still feel the need to custom-fit your boots, this can easily be done by heat molding your liners either in shop, using a specific heating system and tools, or even at home.

Patented Re/Lace Liner Locker

The Re/Lace Liner Locker provides a secure and true liner lace lock every time, while additional allowing for easy adjustability of your inner boot lacing when your boot shell is already tied, by simply pulling up on the lace handle. This allows you to (re)tighten your liner and foothold throughout the day (wherever you may find yourself on the mountain) without having to untie your boots shell lacing system.

3D Shaped Tongue

The liner tongue is in direct contact with the foot’s most sensible are – the instep. We carefully construct this part of the liner, using multiple pieces and materials, to achieve the best possible combination of comfort and foot enclosure.

3D Heel Construction

Let’s face it: heel lift sucks. This is why we are going through the effort of custom-building a 3D shaped heel pocked into our liners. The result is a positive heel lockdown, but with comfort and ergonomic feel.

Response ExoFrame

An external frame, made of pliable yet supportive material increases precision in distinctive areas and relieve pressure in others, always leaving enough room to move. Boot engineering working for you.

Tongue Velcro Closure

An integrated Velcro closure closing the top of the liner, for better boot laceability and a snug fit.

Latex Memory Pads

We spend a lot of time on the material composition, design, and positioning of our signature Latex Memory Pads. They are one of our key liner features and will keep your ankle area comfortable and supported all day long.

Flex Toe

A Nitro industry first over two decades ago, often copied but never equaled: A flexible material is used to build the toe area of our liners, allowing for size variations and a equal fit left and right. And since your toes can move more feely not being crammed into a stiff toe box, they will stay warmer all day long.
