BOOT SIZE AND FIT GUIDE
Boot fitting for Nitro boots
HOW TO FIND MY SIZE
We understand that ordering snowboard boots online can be tricky, as it’s hard to assess the fit without trying them on. We therefore recommend visiting a Nitro dealer to try on boots in person and find your perfect fit with the help of trained staff. (use our store finder to locate a dealer near you).
However, if visiting a store isn’t an option, we kindly ask you to consider the environmental impact of ordering multiple sizes just to return the ones that don’t fit. Returns generate unnecessary shipping and packaging waste, which adds to the carbon footprint. To help you get the right size from the start, we’ve created this detailed guide. By measuring your feet accurately, you can make an informed decision and reduce the need for returns, benefiting both your time and the environment.
SNOWBOARD BOOT FIT
A proper snowboard boot fit is essential for both comfort and performance. The boots should feel secure around your foot without causing discomfort or pressure points. It's important that your toes have just enough space to move slightly, while your heel remains firmly in place to ensure optimal control.
Keep in mind that boots will “pack out” over time. What might feel too tight when you first try them on could actually be the perfect fit after a few days of riding. This is because the materials inside the boot, especially the liner, will give a bit and thereby mold to the shape of your foot as you break them in.
HOW TO MEASURE - FIND THE RIGHT SIZE
To ensure a proper fit for your Nitro Snowboard Boots, follow these steps to measure your feet accurately.
How to measure:
1. Prepare your measuring area:
- Put a blank sheet of paper on the floor, one edge touching the wall.
- Place your foot on the paper and have your heel lightly touching against the wall. Stand naturally, with your weight evenly distributed on both feet.
2. Measure your foot length:
• Mark the end of your longest toe on the paper with a pencil
• Measure the distance from the wall to the mark using a ruler or tape measure to determine the length of your foot in centimeters.
3. Consider fit preferences:
• Once you have measured the length of your feet, follow the conversion chart below value to choose the correct boot size. This will get you the best size Mondopoint Sizing to order (measured length + respective value)

CHOOSING THE RIGHT FIT
Snug, Standard or Roomy
When selecting your snowboard boots, personal preference and the type of riding you do play a significant role.
Here’s a breakdown of the three main fit options:
- Snug Fit: your foot is skinny or you are aiming for the shortest boot size possible to avoid heel or toe drag, this is your choice. Your boot might fit quite tight for the first couple rides and will eventually mold to the shape of your foot with little space for error or customization.
- Standard Fit: this is the perfect fit for 90% of all feet. This size will give you a snugg fitting boot in length and space. You still have room to heat-mold, use custom insoles or thicker socks.
- Roomy Fit: Roomy is a good option if your foot is sensitive to presure points. It is also a good iption if you prefer riding with thicker socks for warmth or need room for some cushy custom insoles.
