When did you first start riding and why?
I grew up in a small ski area in northern Sweden. A friend of mine from Stockholm brought this new thing called a snowboard when he came for holidays. I tried it once and then I was stuck. This was 1991.

Put your time riding in figures for the ones that are bad in math:
I'm 44 years old and have been snowboarding since 1991, that is almost 35 years. 80% of my life.

Favorite people to ride with?
Nothing beats going to the mountain with my son Tiger and wife Rosmari. But of course my OG teammates Seth, Fabien, Lukas, Max, Beckna as well. Back in the days I used to ride mostly with Jon Odden and Miikka Hast.

Favorite Snowboarding Hack (advice) you have?
Be patient, learn to turn, learn to control the board before trying the big tricks. It will pay off in the end.

What board do you ride?
My favorites right now are Optisym 159 and Dinghy 155.

Can you describe yourself in one sentence?
I’m a positive-minded person, focused on seeing opportunities rather than problems.

What has been your favorite trick back in the days?
Crail and frontside spins.

What’s your favorite trick right now?
Still the crail : )

What is your dream trick to learn?
I always wished I would have been better at handplants.

Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman

Do you have any special tricks or advice for setting up your board?
I use different binding setups depending on what I ride — both feet forward and more angle for carving, and duck stance for park. Try a lot of different binding setups to see what fits for you. There is no such thing as a setup that fits everyone. Whatever feels right is right for you.

What is your favorite on-hill snack to bring snowboarding?
Semmel with gouda cheese

Why should people support Nitro or ride Nitro products?
People should choose Nitro because it’s simply the best gear around. But also because Nitro has always been true to the sport and also gives back to the community. Nitro really cares about snowboarding culture and us snowboarders in a way that very few brands do these days. This whole Nitro family thing is not a gimmick, it’s the real deal.

Why should you never stop snowboarding?
Because it doesn’t make any sense. Why should one stop doing something that brings so much joy and happiness?

Any words of advice?
If you don’t start doing something, nothing will happen.
