DOES MY BOARD COME WAXED AND READY TO USE?

Yes. From factory all Nitro boards come waxed and ready to use. However, we strongly recommend that after 4 -5 days of riding you re-apply a good coat of wax. Ideally you would want to apply what is known as a “hot-iron wax”. This can be done at home or at your local service centre.

In general, how do I know when it time to wax my snowboard?
There is no one consistent rule. The best way is to check your base and feel the surface. If you notice the base is milky in color or when you run your hand over it and it is rough to the touch, its time to add a coat of wax. Finally, we know that we don’t all have the time to go to a service shop to drop off our board for a tune. So another rule one can follow is that at the end of the season always tune your board and add a layer of wax before placing it into storage for the summer.
